Log Cabin Star
SIZE: Queen (100″ W x 114″ L)
A traditional pattern with a star in the center in reds, golds, and beiges.
1 in stock
A twist on the traditional Log Cabin pattern by using contrasting light and dark fabrics to create the image of a star in the center. This beautiful quilt features cranberry red and gold florals next to pale beige floral prints. The backing is a solid white.
Queen (100″ W x 114″ L)
A queen mattress is 60″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 20″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.
About This Pattern:
Log Cabin quilts are dated back to when Abraham Lincoln was running for office. Because women could not vote, they made log cabin quilts to show their support for him as he lived in a log cabin. During the era of the Underground Railroad, a log cabin quilt hanging in the window of a Northern home indicated a safe house.
Pieced by local artist, Kandy and hand-quilted by an Amish woman
