The beautiful quilt features the traditional Log Cabin pattern in light grey, dark smokey grey and calico printed black fabric.. The diamond shapes are made by using contrasting light and dark fabrics in half of the log cabin square. The border is a dark deep grey with white printed flowers and vines. The backing used on this quilt is a grey and white mix.
King (116″ W x 113″ L)
A king size mattress is 76″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 20″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.
About This Pattern:
Log Cabin quilts date back to when Abraham Lincoln was running for office. Because women could not vote, they made log cabin quilts to show their support for him as he lived in a log cabin. During the era of the Underground Railroad, a log cabin quilt hanging in the window of a Northern home indicated a safe house.
