About This Pattern:
The Broken Star features a Lone Star in the center which is a pattern specific to the Amish and Mennonite communities of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. This eight-pointed star is also known as the Star of Bethlehem, which symbolizes members of the family with God as the center. Around the Broken Star is the outline of another star, making it appear as if the central star and breaking apart outward.
