Description
This beautiful quilt features a star in the center with overlapping points and surrounding star points in blues and reds. The points are paper-pieced into a pale beige background. The inner border features angled stripes while the outer border is a floral print in matching colors. The backing in a bold blue floral print.
Measurements:
King(114″ W x 114″ L)
A regular king mattress is 76″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 19″ drop on each side.
A California king mattress is 72″ wide and 84″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 21″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.

This complicated pattern comes from a very skilled quilter. It requires a technique known as “foundation paper-piecing,” or FPP, which keeps all of the sharp points flat while sewing them together.
