Description
This beautiful quilt features the traditional Lone Star pattern in the center with the Country Bride design appliqued across the pillows. The color palette includes blues, pinks, and greens on an off-white background with matching floral sashing that frames the bed. The border is scalloped and the backing is a solid off-white muslin.

A queen mattress is 60″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 19″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.
About This Pattern:
Specific to the Amish and Mennonite communities of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the eight-pointed star is also known as the Star of Bethlehem, which symbolizes members of the family with God as the center.
The Country Bride pattern was originally created at The Old Country Store in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1983. The design was inspired by symbols found in hex signs and decorative art that came from Pennsylvania Dutch culture.
