Description
The Log Cabin pattern forms a design in the center with shades of cream, blue, green and burgundy. Contrasting light and dark fabrics create the diamond shapes, symbolizing life’s joys and sorrows. The joys are represented by light fabric, and the sorrows by dark fabric, blending together to form the log cabin square. All fabrics, from shades of cream ,blue and burgundy Fabrics feature delicate designs like filigree, leaves, roses, or swirls. The backing is solid off-white and quilting thread used is in a dark color which makes the quilting pop. Hand quilting enhances the elegance with stitch-in-the-ditch on the main body and decorative borders on the edge. The border, is a dark deep blue .

About This Pattern:
- The Log Cabin quilt pattern has a rich history that dates back to Abraham Lincoln’s presidential campaign. Women, who couldn’t vote at the time, used this pattern to show their support for Lincoln. During the days of the Underground Railroad, a Log Cabin quilt hanging in the window of a Northern home proudly signaled a safe house for escaping slaves.
