The joys are represented by light fabric, and the sorrows by dark fabric, blending together to form the log cabin square. All fabrics, from cream to shades of red, feature delicate designs like filigree leaves, roses, or lace. The backing is solid off-white. Hand quilting enhances the elegance with stitch-in-the-ditch on the main body and decorative borders on the edge.
