About the pattern:
The log cabin pattern is one of the oldest patterns around. Many of the blocks are made with one half light colors symbolizing life’s joys and the other half dark symbolizing life’s sorrows.
During Lincoln’s campaign for President, women, who could not cote then made the log cabin quilts to show support for Lincoln who grew up in a log cabin
