Description
This beautiful quilt was made with curved quarter-circles in lovely shades of blues. Light and dark printed fabric make up this amazingly quilted quilt! The backing is done in a color of blue with white puffs that mimic clouds in the sky. The quilting is easy seen on the front with dark thread and as well as the back side.
Measurements:
King (110″ W x 110″ L)
A queen mattress is 76″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 17″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.
About This Pattern:
Ocean wave also known as the drunkards path, the Amish and Mennonite communities refer to this pattern as the Ocean Wave because they do not drink alcohol.
The curved quarter-circles are referred to as the drunkards’ Path because a person who is usually intoxicated can not walk a straight line. The Quilting technique is used to create curved patterns. Amish and Mennonite do not drink alcohol therefore has renamed the pattern to Ocean Wave
