Description
This quilt features a beautiful pattern made with half circles and squares which create a wavy effect when sewn together. The color palette includes purples, green, and hints of shiny silver with a matching floral border. The backing is a beige floral print.
Measurements:
King (116″ W x 116″ L)
A regular king mattress is 76″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 20″ drop on each side.
A California king mattress is 72″ wide and 84″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 22″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.
About This Pattern:
Also known as the Drunkard’s Path, the Amish and Mennonite communities refer to this pattern as the Ocean Wave because they do not drink alcohol. The curved quarter-circles are referred to as the Drunkard’s Path because a person who is drunk usually cannot walk in a straight line. This quilting technique is used to create curved patterns.
