Description
This beautiful quilt features a spinning star in bright reds and blues on a floral white, disc-shaped background. Two matching spinning stars sit on top of each pillow. The rest of the quilt has a pale blue background with deep blue sashing framing the design. The inner border has angled stripes that match the central star with a blue floral outer border. The pieced backing is a vintage floral print bordered with a light blue floral print, making this quilt reversible.

Queen (102″ W x 113″ L)
A queen mattress is 60″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 21″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.
About This Pattern:
The Whirling Star is also known as the “Stargello,” as it uses the Bargello technique to create the spinning effect within the star. Bargello patterns are based on a 500-year-old tapestry pattern that originated in Bargello, Italy. They are made by sewing together squares and rectangles which gradually change in size and create curves that come to a point.
