To begin this process, it is crucial to have a clear understanding of your bed’s size and dimensions. This knowledge will enable you to select a quilt that fits perfectly, taking into consideration the height of your bed as well. It is important to note that quilts are generally designed to be quite large, so it is crucial to ensure that they provide ample coverage on each side of the bed. Additionally, all quilts are intentionally crafted to be extra long, guaranteeing that they sufficiently cover the pillows. This feature, often referred to as the pillow tuck, contributes to the quilt’s overall aesthetic appeal as it adorns the entire bed, including the pillows. Consequently, there is no need for additional shams, as the quilt serves this purpose effortlessly and beautifully.
One effective method for determining the appropriate size of a quilt before making a purchase is to use a roll of string. To begin, choose the side of your bed where you desire the quilt to hang down to.
