The traditional Log Cabin pattern with a hand-quilted, framed portrait of an eagle in flight in 4 different poses in the center. The diamond shapes are made by using contrasting light and dark fabrics in half of the log cabin square. This color palette features blacks, browns, beiges, and green to match the central panel. The backing is a beige marbel print.

This traditional Log Cabin pattern features a majestic eagle in flight in 4 different panel poses in the center. The diamond shapes are created using contrasting light and dark fabrics in half of the log cabin square. The color palette coordinates with the central panel. The colors include brown, olive green, dark teal, gray, cream, and sky blue. The detail of the eagles and the surrounding trees is highlighted by delicate quilting. The border is dark brown. The backing is a sponge-style print in a cream allowing the quilt to be reversible. This is an Amish-made quilt with hand-stitched quilting.

About This Pattern:
- The Log Cabin quilt pattern has a rich history that dates back to Abraham Lincoln’s presidential campaign. Women, who couldn’t vote at the time, used this pattern to show their support for Lincoln. During the days of the Underground Railroad, a Log Cabin quilt hanging in the window of a Northern home proudly signaled a safe house for escaping slaves.
