About This Pattern:

This is the most unique Log Cabin quilt you will ever see! This pattern requires sewing together hundreds of small pieces to create the star in the center and the tribal shapes around it. If you look closely, there are numerous intricate details.

Log Cabin quilts date back to when Abraham Lincoln was running for office. Because women could not vote, they made log cabin quilts to show their support for him as he lived in a log cabin. During the era of the Underground Railroad, a log cabin quilt hanging in the window of a Northern home indicated a safe house.
