Description
This unique quilt features scrappy leftover material, sewn together to make 30 eight-pointed stars. The quilt uses floral designs in beige, pinks, blues, greens, and purples. The border has a beige design and the backing is a light beige.
Measurements:
Queen (96″ W x 105″ L)
A queen mattress is 60″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 18″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.
About This Pattern:
Specific to the Amish and Mennonite communities of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the eight-pointed star is also known as the Star of Bethlehem, which symbolizes members of the family with God as the center.
This pattern is made by sewing hundreds of small squares together from various leftover fabric scraps. Within the scraps they are constructed into the pattern of Lone Stars.
